SUMMARY
The IT Technician is responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, maintaining company systems, supporting end‑users, and ensuring secure and efficient technology functions across multiple facilities in California. This role performs hands‑on technical work involving servers, networks, workstations, security systems, and department coordination. The technician also supports IT staffing, system administration, troubleshooting, and the implementation of company-wide technology standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily IT Operations & Management
- Complete daily IT activities, requirements, and assigned projects.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide after-hours “on call” support as required using a company-issued phone.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of IT office areas, equipment, supplies, data resources, and digital assets.
Systems Administration
- Set up and maintain Microsoft Exchange servers.
- Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers and security credentials for all CA and FL facilities.
- Set up and manage security servers and access control systems.
- Manage computer operation scheduling, backups, storage, and data retrieval processes.
- Maintain, review, and update disaster recovery plans.
- Perform routine infrastructure and cybersecurity audits.
- Cross-Department & Multi‑Location Support
- Interface with all departments to provide IT support and gather information as needed.
- Collaborate with departments across CA and FL to ensure unified technology processes.
- Maintain consistency of information sharing and systems configuration across all facilities.
- Hardware, Software & Workstation Support
- Install and maintain hardware and software, including server and computer maintenance.
- Perform PC builds, repairs, and upgrades.
- Set up and maintain Apple and Windows workstations for all departments.
- Diagnose, repair, and resolve computer-related and office equipment-related issues.
- Manage inventory of IT supplies, hardware, and components.
- Perform hardware, software, and equipment asset management.
- Networking & Connectivity
- Diagnosing and resolving issues involving bandwidth, network availability, and infrastructure performance.
- Support and maintain network connectivity for all locations, including phones, printers, peripherals, and copiers.
- Provide troubleshooting for network protocols and infrastructure components.
- Security Systems & Infrastructure
- Maintain security systems, surveillance equipment, and infrastructure access control.
- Support company-wide security protocols and ensure adherence to security policies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in IT Administration.
Certifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in supporting Windows Server 2008, 2012 (preferred), 2016, and Windows 7/8/8.1/10.
- Proficient supporting macOS systems.
- Strong command of SonicWALL firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Skilled with Windows Server roles, including:
- Hyper‑V
- DNS
- Active Directory
- Group Policy (GPO)
- Print Server
- File Server
- Experience working with NETGEAR VLAN configurations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Proficient in Office 365 administration, including account set-up, permissions, licensing, and security settings.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to travel between CA and FL locations when required.
