Summary

The Programs Clerk provides support by performing a variety of entry level clerical and administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in compiling and maintaining program labor costs spreadsheets
  • Assist with preparing and generating documentation for Material Requisitions (RIPs)
  • Transfer and submit data from Internal data bases to customer information systems.
  • Coordinate and review labor timesheets of authorized personnel
  • Organize existing data in a spreadsheet
  • Track material statuses
  • Monitor the approval of funding requests. (RIPs)
  • Organize and facilitate program purchase orders for review/approval
  • Generate and distribute labor and material expense reports to program team
  • Effectively communicate updates to programs team
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, multi-tasking, environment with ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and tasks
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (Word & Excel & PowerPoint), DropBox, MSTeam
  • Excellent communication in English written and verbal with all stakeholders and customers
  • Must be detail oriented and balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Require minimal supervision to successfully complete tasks and assignments
  • Must possess the ability to successfully plan, prioritize and organize work activities and adhere to strict deadlines follow instructions, procedures, and policies; identify and solve problems
  • Must be conscientious about assignments and complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to successfully manage personnel and activities of sale support staff.
  • Require minimal supervision to successfully complete tasks and assignments
  • Must demonstrate initiative and ownership of assignments/projects
  • Must report to work at scheduled time and maintain satisfactory attendance with limited unscheduled absences
  • Must exhibit a professional appearance and behavior and maintain satisfactory performance consistent with expectations of the position and GMS policies
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing with executives, colleagues and individuals, internal or external
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management
  • Must remain poised, professional and diplomatic under pressure
  • Must possess the ability and desire to encourage and facilitate a positive and productive work environment for all employees

Education and Experience

  • Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 1-year related experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have experience working in a co-development environment with tight, customer driven schedules
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on proficiency with Excel
  • Some aerospace background preferred.
  • Experience working with government or military documentation is essential

The employee regularly engages in personal interaction with company personnel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus and utilize a computer monitor under florescent lighting and/or daylight where applicable.
